Material Safety Data Sheets

Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are available for both Thiover ® Polysulphide and Butylver PIB.

Fenzi Thiover® brand polysulphide is a totally solvent free, non hazardous material. Please check with your local municipality for waste disposal guidelines, but you should find no issues being solvent free and containing no lead.

Thiover Compatibility Sheets

While Fenzi Thiover® Polysulphide is found to be compatible with most glazing materials found in the market, we request that you obtain verification through your Fenzi Sales Representative.

Glazing materials do change in ‘chemistry’ from time to time, if not in name only.

If the particular type of glazing material you or your customer want to use and is not on this list, please forward a sample to our office and we will verify for compatibility.

The test we perform is a ‘modified’ ASTM test and severe enough to view any ‘bleeding’ that may occur from using a material deemed incompatible.

As a general rule, glazing materials containing solvents have proven incompatible with most IG sealants. As well, one-part acetate silicones used for glazing, have shown to be incompatible with many IG sealants.

Because of the ‘robust’ nature of a true polysulphide, you may find many of those type of materials to be compatible with Fenzi Thiover – but again, please verify with your Sales Representative.
